Plasma technology produces an image in an entirely different manner from conventional televisions, which uses the familiar glass CRT (cathode ray tube) or "picture tube" to display an image. (Note: rear projection TVs and many front projectors also use CRT tubes to produce an image).  A plasma display panel (PDP) uses electrodes to selectively illuminate gas-filled cells. Each cell contains red, green and blue phosphors that make up a tiny pixel. The panel contains more than a million of these pixels, whose combined output makes up the images displayed on the panel.  The electrodes produce a current that excites the gas in the cells and energizes the phosphors, causing them to emit visible light and create video images.  The electrodes are controlled by digital microprocessors, to selectively discharge in a manner corresponding to the images to be viewed. The plasma display produces images by addressing an entire row of pixels.

Astonishingly  Thin!

With its incredible image quality and unique form, the Fujitsu Plasmavision display adds impact for business communications, entertainment, home theater  and public display. Plasmavision display technology is the best way to achieve flat panel displays with excellent image quality in any environment.

In The Office Or At Home

Facilitates business presentations as either a computer monitor or a video display.  Or in the kitchen during dinner after a hard day at work!

The venue for the Plasmavision is in architecturally sensitive business or home environments where office space is limited or where a technology statement needs to be made. Use it where a large format CRT is too intrusive, or where it is not practical to turn off the lights in deference to a projector.

A PlasmaTV Will Fit
Anywhere!

No room for a large screen projector?  Fireplace in the way?  Have a wife factor problem to overcome?  Just got rid of the dart board and want to cover the dart holes?  No problem,
a Plasmavision will fit anywhere!

Without a doubt, plasma display monitors are ideal for home theater. The large screen size delivers the powerful cinema-like experience at its 16:9 aspect ratio, enabling you to view movies in their original proportions. The high-resolution of plasma displays and their compatibility with digital video sources and standard decoders allow you view today's HDTV, digital TV and conventional TV broadcasts at their best. They're also great for viewing DVD-video movies with the best detail.   Plasma display monitors are the ultimate in multimedia display devices. In addition to video sources, plasma displays can accept the video output from a computer, so you'll be able to play computer games and surf the web with spectacular big-screen impact.
Plasma displays are also extremely versatile in terms of room placement. They easily mount on a wall -- no floor space required! They give you far more options in designing a home theater and getting a big screen into a smaller space. Large-screen rear projection TVs are imposing pieces of furniture that tend to dominate a room, whereas the slim design and understated appearance of plasma displays blend with a room.
