From The Beginning

Professor Dr. Fritz Sennheiser founded the company in June 1945 in the small northern German community of Wennebostel, near Hannover. Shortly after its formation, Sennheiser developed its first microphone, the MD2. A high quality dynamic microphone, the MD2 found quick success among broadcasters. By 1958, an electroacoustic sensation was witnessed in TV broadcasting and on stage: the successful introduction and use of wireless transmission technology via the Sennheiser "Mikroport" system.

The Sennheiser HD-280 Pro Professional is Sennheiser's most significant closed, circumaural headphone to be introduced in years. Designed to exceed the demands of the professional environment, the HD280 Pro boasts extremely robust construction combined with extensive features that meet the requirements of today's most demanding applications. The unique HD280Pro collapsible design combined with swiveling ear cups, offers maximum flexibility in any application.

One model in Sennheiser's popular lineup is the HD-500 Fusion -
a model that is causing a buzz among listeners of jazz, funk, rock and
hip hop. Like its namesake, the HD500 fuses improved audio technology
with a new "BioNetic" headphone design that offers unsurpassed comfort.

The Sennheiser RS 120 RF wireless headphone system is an ideal choice for both Hi-Fi and TV use. The lightweight RS120 lets you enjoy freedom of movement without cumbersome cables. The headphones come complete with powerful rechargeable NiMH batteries. After use, simply place the headphones onto their convenient transmitter base station and they will automatically recharge.

The foldable Sennheiser PXC 300 headphones with NoiseGard™ Advance active noise cancelling technology let you enjoy music even in noisy environments. They reduce unwanted noise by up to 80% and the optimized circuit technology ensures reduced susceptibility to mobile phone interference. The PXC300 are supplied with a protective soft case, batteries and aircraft audio adaptors.

The Sennheiser HD 600 is an audiophile quality open dynamic hi-fi/professional stereo headphone. The advanced diaphragm design eliminates standing waves in the diaphragm material. The HD600 can be connected directly to hi-fi systems of the highest quality, in particular DAT, DCC and CD players. This headphone is an ideal choice for the professional recording engineer recording classical music.

The Sennheiser HD 555 features a special internal Surround Reflector, which generates an extended spatial sound field, making it the ideal headphone for home theater,as well as music.Other innovative features of the HD555 include Sennheiser's E.A.R.technology and optimized Duofol diaphragms for a new level of audio enjoyment.Overall listening pleasure is combined with outstanding wearing comfort.

Most Sennheiser headphone cords and cables are plug-in type and can be replaced very easily.  We also stock Sennheiser extension cables up to 10 foot extensions.

Sennheiser headphone accessory ear cushions and cables can be found at Fred's Sound Of Music.  If we do not have a part in stock , we'll special order it!
