The RM-1.3 is designed to look and perform like no other affordable turntable. Featuring a Sumiko Pearl moving magnet cartridge that is factory mounted for your convenience, the Sumiko Project RM-1.3 delivers musical fidelity that belies its price. A resonance-optimized MDF platter with a felt mat rests upon a three-point MDF plinth with an isolated motor assembly optimized for low noise and speed stability. The RM-1.3 incorporates an inverted chrome plated stainless steel axle that rests on a polished steel bearing in a bronze housing for low wow-and-flutter and speed accuracy. Three nylon cone feet further reduce noise and vibration. A single-piece fixed headshell 9" S-shaped tonearm features hardened stainless steel bearings and rigid aluminum tube to provide superb tracking. Accurate adjustment of both VTA and azimuth is easily accomplished. Detachable RCA interconnect cables included.

Sumiko Pro-Ject Xpression III   The Xpression III provides a feature set and musical performance not usually associated with turntables in this price range. Employing machined cone feet, a low-noise motor with precision flat-ground belt driving a new precision machined acrylic platter, the table operates in virtual silence. A carbon-fiber tonearm tube with integrated headshell is pre-mounted with a Sumiko Oyster cartridge on this Project turntable. Additionally, the tonearm features an inverted thrust bearing with two hardened stainless steel points resting in sapphire thrust pads to maximize the Oyster's performance. Furthermore, the tonearm provides for easy adjustment of the stylus rake angle (VTA), azimuth and tangency, greatly optimizing analog playback performance and cartridge flexibility. Each cartridge & stylus are assembled using time honored, labor intensive techniques, hand calibrated and critically auditioned to meet the most rigorous standards of consistency. The main advantage of high output moving coil cartridges is the elimination of any additional gain stages, resulting in an overall reduction of the noise floor. With 2.5mV directly driving a standard 47k Ohm RIAA phono stage, the best possible signal to noise ratio is realized.

Sumiko iPod Dock Box   The Pro-Ject iPod Dock Box features a highly shielded metal chassis that interfaces iPods using a 30-pin docking connector (3rd generation Nano only). When docked, the iPods audio output is fixed and drives a buffered pair of RCA jacks into a Pro-Ject preamp or any other line-level compatible component. A USB output allows for the interface and synchronization with your computer. A compact remote control is included that allows adjustment of all playback functions, including repeat and shuffle, as well as menu navigation. A robust outboard power supply delivers highly stable AC voltage for quality sound and performs charging (except iPhone G3) for the iPod when docked.
